God has people that answer the call for Him. The elect are those that stood with God against Satan and his rebellion during the first earth age. They were overcomers then and earned the right to be called God’s elect.
Isaiah 65:1-12
65:1 (compare: Deut 32:21, Rom 10:20-21). Israel was in a bad state with God.
65:2 (compare: Psalm 36:4). What thoughts are we filled with? Are they ours or God’s? These turned from God and sought their own salvation (forsaking God’s outreaching arms).
65:3(compare: Lev 17:5, Jer 2:20). Upon bricks: not upon the golden alter of incense. Not hiding their evil but doing it straight in the face of God.
65:4 monuments H 5341; secret places. This is not what God wanted from His people. They do it right to His face (no shame).
65:5 if these are your works then you are not a Christian but a smoke in the nose of God, no matter what you call yourself. Smoke in the nose is very unpleasant and get discarded very quickly. Day in and day out it’s all the same, no true worship.
65:6 (compare: Deut 32:35). God will recompense to the very inward of the person.
65:7 they will receive the full measure of their punishment.
65:8 on the vine there are good and bad grape clusters. God knows how to discern the two.
65:9 (compare: Matt 24:43). This is how it will be. The elect are those that have been justified. God knows who the good grapes are.
65:10 Sharon H 8589; a plain. Achor H 5911; troubled. This is a reward for those that serve Him. All it takes is to seek after Him. Have we done this?
65:11 troop H 1408; fortune (the Syrian god of fate). Number H 4507; god of destiny (Assyrian). Holy Mountain: Mt. Zion, where God’s throne will be. They forgot about God and made their own idols.
65:12 (compare: Dan 5:25-26). These have been numbered and found wanting. They chose whom they will serve. Answer the call, and be pleasing to God.
John 15:15-16
15:15 how did He let us know? By the word, have you read it? Do you want to be called friend or servant?
15:16 Christ did the choosing. These are called to bring forth fruit. He will give us what we need to bring forth that fruit for Him.
1 Peter 2:6-8
2:6 there is no confusion when we stand upon that ROCK.
2:7-8 many stumble at Christ. Those that are not founded upon the word do stumble. Of you follow traditions of men; the word will become a stumbling block for you. How many people (because of being unlearned in the word) blame God for bad in their life?
1 Peter 1:1-2
1:1-2 foreknowledge G 4267/4253/1097; to know beforehand, foreknow. Spoken to those who knew God/chosen before.
Jeremiah 1:4-10
1:5 sanctified H 6942; make, pronounce, observe as clean. How did He know Jeremiah before he was formed in the womb? How did He already find Jeremiah clean? Jeremiah was alive before.
1:6 child is youth. Jeremiah was a youth at this time.
1:7 speak the word.
1:8 (compare: Acts 26:17, Ezek 2:6). Be not afraid! Do the work for God and fear not, for God is with us. He promised to give all we would need to complete His work (John 15:16).
1:9 (compare: Deut 18:18, Isa 6:6-7, Ezek 2:8-9, Dan 10:16). We must always be fashionable (moldable). Be willing to become what God has called us to be.
1:10 Jeremiah was appointed and installed. Jeremiah was to teach the word of God so many could be saved. As some are saved others will be rooted out and destroyed.
Romans 8:26-31
8:26 in our weakness the Spirit will help us. We don’t know absolutes as God does. This is why we should pray for His will in our lives.
8:27 all things will happen according to His purpose.
8:28 called for His purpose and no others.
8:29 foreknew G 4267; to know beforehand. Predestinate G 4309; to predetermine. The elect were chosen and found innocent long ago.
8:30 justified G 1344; show or regard as innocent. The elect are the people He speaks of.
8:31 it matters not, for God is there.
8:32 He loves us so much that He sent Jesus to die for us.
8:33 God is the only judge, and if you have been found good with God then you are fine.
8:34 He always wins and when we are working for God we shall lack nothing!
