Revelation ch 14

In chapter 13 we learned about Satan and the one world system he will utilize. We saw the 2 beasts (one is political, the other is religious) that come with power from Satan. Remember the last part in chapter 13 where Jesus gives us wisdom to understand who Satan is. We will see here in chapter 14 that it concerns earth and the people connected to it.

Chapter 14

14:1 this is the true Lamb (Christ), not a fake. He is here! Mt. Sion is where Christ will return and set His kingdom up (compare: Heb 12:22-29). 144,000: these are those who come out of the hour of temptation from 10 tribes plus Joseph, Levi (compare: Rev 7). They have the name of God written in their forehead (knowledge in their brain of the true Christ).

14:2 this is the voice of God!

14:3 these overcome due in part to all the seeds we plant. Eventually all the things you tell people will finally be revealed.

14:4 virgins: this is spiritual. These were not seduced by the false Christ; and did not take on the false religion.

14:5 they held the truth and took no part in the deception brought on by the antichrist. Don’t stray from the word of God!

14:6 do we have this gospel? The gospel fits ALL!

14:7 the hour of judgment comes at the end of the millennium. He is worthy to be worshipped!

14:8 Babylon G897/H894; confusion. Many will fall into that confusion brought on by the deception of antichrist. We won’t fall into that confusion for we know the teachings of the churches of Smyrna and Philadelphia. We know antichrist comes first claiming to be the true Christ.

14:9-10 mark in hand: doing the work of antichrist. Mark in his forehead: taking in the lies and deception of antichrist as truth. Beast and image: this is the one world system and religious system. Those that don’t follow God will be no more.

14:11 there is no hope for those that stray from God and follow after antichrist.

14:12 do we keep the commandments of God?

14:13 remember this verse! Those that follow after The Lord will have rest. The only thing we can take with us is our works and labor for God (also the bad we don’t repent of is taken with us).

14:14 sickles are used for harvest. Remember Christ told us that the harvest is plenty but the workers are few (compare: Matt 9:37). Are we willing to work for God?

14:15-16 harvest time is here!

14:17 we must know what a sickle is used to harvest; it is used to harvest wheat, barley, grain, etc.

14:18 now a sickle is not used to harvest grapes. If you were to harvest grapes with a sickle you would destroy them and it would be a mess. This is referencing the song of Moses (compare: Deut 32:32-33). The vine of the kenite is not our vine. They are fed from the vine of Satan whereas we are fed from the vine of God. This is the cup of wrath poured out on the bad!

14:19 don’t be scared; God is angry at those that followed after Satan, not those faithful to God. Remember we are protected from antichrist by God. Satan can’t touch those that have the seal of God in their forehead!

14:20 thousand six hundred furlongs: this comes out to be about 180-200 miles long. This will be quit the pouring out of God’s wrath (compare: Zechariah 12). Those that claim there is no God will be in for a big surprise! These will be gathered at the Mt of Megiddo where this will take place.

Revelation ch 13

In chapter 12 we covered from the very beginning (first earth age) all the way to the end when Christ returns. We are now going to cover the antichrist and roles he will come in. This is very important because we are not going to “rapture” out of here; we need to know what we are going to be up against.

Chapter 13

13:1 remember God doesn’t utilize outrageous monsters; rather the things spoken here are all symbolism. This is symbolic of a multi headed government. This will be the one world government system that Satan utilizes when he comes back as antichrist. Waters: this is symbolic of the people (compare: Rev 17:15).
  10 crowns: these crowns will be worn by 10 supernatural rulers Satan brings with him (fallen angels).

13:2 leopard: the kenites (those that claim to be of our brother Judah but do lie and are the synagogue of Satan). Bear: this is more than likely Russia. Lion: acting as Judah. Dragon: this is Satan. The political system will take shape and draw all power from Satan.

13:3 we must not look at a flesh wound as being the wound but rather a wound to a political system. Remember Christ said in Mark 13:7 that when you hear of wars the end is not here. What we must be on the lookout for is one that brings peace (compare: Dan 8:23-25).  Remember the multi headed creature is a one world government. That one world government will lose its peace and stability (deadly wound) then Satan will come in to save it.

13:4 it will be very difficult to make war with a one word system. The dragon comes back claiming to be Christ. Satan will stop true worship of God in the temples and make all worship him (compare: Dan 9:26-27, 2 Thess 2:4). It will be very hard to speak against the one world system because of the peace and prosperity it brings; plus, Satan will be claiming to be Christ.

13:5 months: remember, prophecies given in months are from Satan; prophecies given in days are of God. The weapon used by Satan is the mouth (lies, deception, etc.). The 42 months were shortened to 5 months (compare: Rev 9:5, Mark 13:20). For more details on the coming of Satan read 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12.

13:6 the war is of the spiritual kind, not fleshly. The controversy between God and Satan, with people caught in the middle to choose whom they will serve.

13:7 the saints: God’s elect. It’s called one worldism because of its influence over all. Remember he can’t hurt you, only deliver you up to speak for God (compare: Mark 13:9-11).

13:8 all except those with the seal of God in their forehead! (Compare: Rev 9:4). There will not be a bloody war of wars as many believe; rather a war for men’s souls (which is far more important).

13:9 do you have ears to hear; can you understand the simplicity of God’s word?

13:10 this is a Hebrew idiom (saying) concerning destiny. (Compare: Jer 15:2, Jer 43:11, Ezek 5:2/12, Zech
11:9). How you live your life will determine how you end it.

13:11 another beast: the first beast was political (one world system), this beast is religious. He is out of the earth (here) and had horns (signify power) like a lamb (symbolic of Christ). He is coming to act as if he is the true Christ! Be careful and listen to the words he speaks because he speaks as a dragon (Satan).

13:12 he causes the world to worship that political system who was in chaos (deadly wound) but then he brings peace to (deadly wound healed). Think how it will be: peace everywhere, financial woes done away with (all prosperous), and the so called Christ is with us. It will be very hard to resist!

13:13 he has super natural powers, very convincing! Many people uneducated in the word of God will fall down and worship him! It’s the hour of temptation, can he tempt you?

13:14 that political system will be supreme. It will be the rule of the land.

13:15 remember Satan comes back claiming to be Christ. He will not be killing people as many think. Christ would not come back and kill people. This is spiritual death to those that worship it. He cannot hurt those that have the seal of God in their foreheads! Wake up and understand the word of God!

13:16 mark G5480; a badge of servitude. There will not be anything written on us, it is IN our foreheads! You could mark us with 666 all over our bodies but that would never change how we feel about something. The deception will happen in your mind. Many will be deceived. Mark in hand: this is doing the work of antichrist. Mark in mind: this is taking in the lies and deception.

13:17 you must worship him in order to receive the money of the time. Fear not because God will make a way for all of His children.

13:18 do you have understanding? He is a man (antichrist, Satan), and his number is 666. This number gives a glimpse of who Satan is; it is not something we should fear but rather understand. Count G 5585/5586; a pebble worn smooth over time. This tells us that he is known (understood) over time throughout the bible.

Revelation Ch 12

Chapter 12 covers a very long length of time. It covers from the first earth age all the way to the millennium. It is placed here after chapter 11 which covered the 2 witnesses and the 7th trump.

Chapter 12

12:1 this is happening in heaven.  12 stars: this is the zodiacal sign representing the 12 tribes. The woman: she is symbolic of mother Israel (compare: John 16:21).

12:2 this delivery is of the new age. The one we live in now.

12:3 red dragon: this is Satan. These heads and horns all represent the “system” and power (e.g. political) that he uses to deceive people. Satan was using this system in the first earth age, except when he comes to earth this time he will have 10 crowns instead of 7 (compare: Rev 13:1). So how did Satan do in deceiving God’s children, let’s see in the next verse.

12:4 we see 1/3 of the stars of heaven (children of God) deceived during the first earth age (overthrow of Satan). Because of this first rebellion by Satan, he received a death sentence (compare: Ezek 28:18-19).    Instead of God destroying all the people He gave us a chance, being born of woman one time to choose who we will serve, God or Satan. We now change to the birth of Jesus during this earth age. Devour: be aware because Satan walks today seeking whom he may devour also (compare: 1 Peter 5:8).

12:5 only one sits at the right hand of God so there is no doubt of whom this speaks of, Jesus!

12:6 Dan chapter 7 gives us the days in which this speaks of. This is the time spoken of in Daniel when the temple was not cleansed and the people were given a refuge to hide.

12:7 this war is in heaven. This would be quit a war to see.

12:8 Satan lost and is cast out on earth to take out his anger on those that do not have the seal of God in their forehead. This is why you have silence in heaven in Rev 8:1 for half of an hour (half of the hour of temptation). This is the time he will show his “system” and power to deceive many people.

12:9 here we get some of the names and roles Satan plays. Serpent: in the garden, Devil: slanderer, Satan: adversary. How much of the world was deceived……the whole world. His angels will be cast out to be the leaders of his “system”.

12:10 (compare: Job 1:6-12). When Satan comes, God will show Himself mighty in that time.

12:11 death: this is Satan (compare: Heb 2:14). Those that know the lies of Satan will be used to speak out against Satan at the end. We will be delivered up for a testimony (compare: Matt 10:18-19).

12:12 Satan has a short time, 5 months (the time was changed from 7 years to 5 months in Matt 24:22, Rev 9:5). Satan will be vicious in deception.

12:13 (compare: Luke 10:18-19). Satan will try and give God’s children a hard time but we have power over him!
(Compare: Rev 2:10). These 10 days are for us to witness against him for God.

12:15 flood: this is lies form the mouth of Satan. Just as the weapon of Christ is the word which comes from His mouth, so too is Satan’s weapon. The whole world will wonder after him! (Compare: Matt 7:24-27). Don’t let the flood of lies destroy your house, rather build it upon a ROCK and it shall stand!

12:16 you see super natural help form God for His children, He always takes care of His own.

12:17 remember Rev 9:4 and Luke 10:18-19, we have power over Satan through God and are protected because we have the knowledge of Satan in our minds. Satan does kill the 2 witnesses and that is the end of him because he did this.

Revelation Ch 11

In chapter 10 we learned about the 7 thunders, and the mystery of God’s word. Here in chapter 11 we are going to discuss the 2 witnesses and the return of Christ. This chapter will give us the time and events of what will be happening 3 ½ days before He returns. Remember Amos 3:7. God will not do anything without revealing it to His Prophets first (He tells us what is going on; we just have to look for it).

Chapter 11

11:1 a reed is for measuring, but a rod is used for correction (a reed is not a rod). This is speaking of the Second Advent. This is a measuring of people, to see who makes it, whom is utilized, correction and so forth.

11:2 tread under foot: Rev 14:20, 19:15 (compare). 42 months: months are moons. Prophecies given in months always pertain to Satan; while prophecies given in days pertain to Christ. This is why the correction is needed, because the temple and other things will be under the control of Satan when he comes back as anti-Christ claiming to be the true Christ. (Compare: Dan 9:24-27, 2 Thess 2:4).

11:3 this prophecy pertains to days and is therefore from God. Sackcloth G 4526; worn as a sign of grief.

11:4 these 2 stand before God, to do His will (compare: Zechariah 4:11-14).  There is much speculation to their identities.

11:5 fire from their mouth: Jeremiah 5:14, 2 Kings 1:10-15, I Kings 18 (compare). These 2 will have great power. Remember that Satan is not to harm or touch those that have the seal of God in their forehead (compare: Rev 9:4).

11:6 these powers are very similar to the powers of Moses and Elijah’s time. It is very coincidental that Moses and Elijah were the ones who appeared with the Lord on the mount (compare: Matt 17:1-3).

11:7 again, remember Rev 9:4!

11:8 street G 4113; a wide place or square rather than a street. This city is Jerusalem. These people will be partying when the2 witnesses are killed.

11:9 here you have a time limit before the return of Christ (3 ½ days). They want people to watch the dead bodies to prove they will not resurrect or come back to life.

11:10 this gives you an idea of how many will be deceived by anti-Christ when he comes back claiming to be the true Christ. These 2 tormented the people with the powers they were given from God.

11:11 the Spirit of Life came on them and brought them back. The fear here is a “great” fear one that “paralyzes”.  This is the time when the people will know they have been deceived by Satan.

11:12 they witnessed the 2 witnesses go to the Father.

11:13 right after the witnesses are raised these events happen. 7,000: these are the fallen angels that are destroyed. Once you see the 2 witnesses fall, know that there will be 3 ½ days till the Lord comes back! Tenth: this is the remnant, God’s elect that stand with Him till the end!

11:14-15 the end is here! The 7th trump embraces the 7vials and or last 7 plagues that make up the 3rd woe. These events described here could carry us through to Rev 20:15.

11:16 when you see the wonderment and glory of God when He protects His children there is no doubt why they fall and worship Him. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself, for those that have the seal of God in their forehead!

11:17 He will reign forever and ever!

11:18 those that stand faithful to God will be blessed and those that don’t will be done away with.

11:19 great hail: this corresponds with Rev 16:21. Ark of His Testament: many people seek this ark and cannot find it. The reason they cannot find it is due to it being in heaven with God.
