Revelation ch 8

Here in chapter 8 we see the 7^th seal opened. Remember the seals were for teaching, and are in order of importance to us. We now will get to the trumps; a trump always executes a command given. The trumps are given by God to execute the commands He has given.

Ch.8

8:1 After Satan is booted from heaven to earth; there is peace in heaven (those in heaven are observing what is going on). Christ comes back during this time.

8:2 every time the trump sounds it executes an order/command.

8:3-4 (compare: Rev 6:10, Rev 5:8). Censer G 3031; to burn the incense. God hears our prayers!

8:5 (compare: Mark 13:8). This is in preparation of the trumps. It will definitely get our attention.

8:6 ready to execute the command.

8:7 earth G 1093; soil. You see nature itself and things on it suffering. 1/3 part: (compare: Rev 9:18, Rev 12:4). This number signifies those that followed after Satan. This part is sentenced to all things.

8:8 sea: (compare: Rev 17:15), this is speaking of the people. This is speaking of spiritual and not pertaining to the flesh. Remember God is a consuming fire. The third part is spiritually dead; many more will be deceived as the end comes. (Compare: Zech 13:8-9).

8:9 Life comes from God! Do you have life? Ships: commerce will go bad as well. These are spiritually deceived and have followed the false Christ. (Compare: Matt10:28).

8:10-11 star: this is Satan, (Compare: Luke 10:18, Isaiah 14:12).  The name Lucifer means bright morning star; don’t be deceived! Wormwood G 894; bitterness. Many were made bitter and died (spiritually) due to the deception brought on by Satan. Are you bitter or do you have peace?

8:12 darkened G 4654; to obscure. Sun, moon, stars were given for signs (compare: Gen 1:14, Matt 24:29, Mark 13:24, Luke 21:25). We are children of the day not of the night (compare: 1 Thess 5:4-11). This is anti-Christ making it appear that Christ had returned (great deception).

8:13 angel: in the ancient manuscripts it read “eagle”. Here are the 3 woe trumps, be on guard! Woe is not good news for those that do not know any better. For those that know the truth, it will be well with them (have nothing to worry about). Unfortunately many will follow after the false! You see a good analogy from God; with the eagle flying through the valley screaming, woe, woe, woe!

Passover 2012

 Passover all began when the Israelites were in Egypt. God told them that in order for the death angel to pass over them that they were to put the blood of a lamb on their door posts and they would be protected. If this was done the death angel would not enter their house.


Matthew 27:29-46

27:29 (compare Matt 20:17-19). Crown G 4735; (used by kings and victors) a badge of royalty/symbol of honor. HE was King of Kings and Lord of Lords, not just over the Jews.

27:30 smote G 5180; repeated blows.

27:31-32 this is why we take up our cross and follow Him. To stand for something and make a difference.

27:33 Golgotha G 1115; (of Hebrew origin) the skull (in Latin it is Calvaria, in English Calvary).

27:34 vinegar G 3690; sour wine. Gall G 5521; poison. This would have been a poor mans wine. One the roman guards would have drunk. They would have mixed a little pain killer (gall) in it to help Jesus with the pain.

27:35 (fulfilling Psalm 22:18). Vesture G 2441; clothing.

27:37 (compare John 19:19)

27:38 (fulfilling Isaiah 53:12)

27:39 They were mocking Him.

27:40 (compare John 2:19-21 and Revelation 21:22). They perverted the Lords words. Jesus was speaking of His body which is the temple. It was raised in three days. They don’t have eyes/ears to see/hear.

27:41-42 They wouldn’t believe Him at all! They are non-believers!!

27:43 it was quoted and fulfilled from Psalm 22:8.

27:44 (compare Luke 23:39-43). One did believe and joined Him in heaven. Cast the same in his teeth: kept reviling Him.

27:45 sixth hour: noon. Ninth hour: 3pm. There was darkness in the middle of the day. This would be another sign from God for the people, yet they believe not.

27:46 quoted from (Psalm 22:1). HE was giving authority to the old testament. Also He was teaching all the way to the end. Jesus always addressed God as Father, never “God”. (for teaching purpose).

Psalm 22:1-31  (written by David concerning his son and Christ)

22:1 roaring H 7581; lamentation.

22:2 gets no rest day or night. Don’t worry God hears our prayers.

22:3 HE deserves our praises, HE is holy. In the good or bad times remember this.

22:4 (compare Deut 4:31 and Heb 13:5). Believe upon HIM and you will be delivered!

22:6 worm H 8438; crimson worm (from which scarlet dye comes from). I am sure David like Christ felt a little bloodied and beaten.


22:7-8 quoted in (Matt 27:43). Remember it is the enemies of Christ that quoted this in Matthew. This should give you comfort that God is in control.

22:9-10 loved Him from the beginning.

22:12 bulls H 6499; as breaking forth in wild strength. Bashan: known for having strong animals.

22:13 gaped H 6475; to rend, to open. HE went through this for us! HE did not open His mouth.

22:14 as HE hung on the cross, His bones pulled out of socket. A brutal way to die.

22:15 (compare John 19:38). Potsherd H 2789; a piece of pottery.

22:16 (compare Gen 3:15). Dogs: “Enemies” (as being implied). They nailed Him to the cross! This was written to give validation that God is all! We must put God in remembrance of His promises (Isa 43:26). If you don’t know them or haven’t read them you are out of luck.

22:17 tell H 5608; count. This recounts death by crucifixion (what it did to His body).

22:18 quoted in (Matt 27:35). Gives validation to all that was done by Christ.

22:19 don’t be afraid to seek the help of God; He will be there for you.

22:20 darling H 3173; only one (prized possession). Power H 3027; hand. Dog: enemy. God delivers us from the enemy as well. Just ask for the help and accept salvation and victory.

22:21 unicorn H 7214; wild bull (same as v:12).

22:22 (compare Heb 2:12-13). I will declare: Christs words in resurrection. HE came to destroy the power of death (satan), (compare Heb 2:14).

22:23 fear H 3373; morally revere. He paid a mighty price for our salvation.

22:24 HE always hears the prayers of the righteous but will answer according to what is beneficial for you.

22:25 God doesn’t keep people by fear but rather love of wanting to worship Him (revere).

22:26 meek H 6035; humble. If we partake of the salvation Christ died for, we will live forever with Him. We must seek Him.

22:27 (compare Rom 14:11). Every knee shall bow and tongue confess Jesus Christ is Lord.

22:28 (compare Matt 6:13).

22:29 all they that be fat: all the great people. Shall bow: (compare Phil 2:9-11). No body can keep themselves alive, for only God is in control.

22:30 (compare Isa 53:10). Generation: the generation of the fig tree (since 1948 when Israel became a nation, Jeremiah 24).

22:31 (compare John 19:30). He hath done this: this is the same as “it is finished”. This gives validation that Christ taught this entire Psalm on the cross.

Passover

Praise God, He is risen! Take this time to thank our Savior for that price paid on the cross that gives us life eternal. It was an awesome price paid for us; that blood shed to cover all of our sins.

Revelation ch 7

In chapter 6 we got a description of the 6 seals and how they are to be. The description of the 7th seal will be given in chapter 8. We are now going to continue with the sealing of the 144 thousand and talk about that great multitude. Remember truth dispels lies and brings clarity to all things. This chapter is considered a parenthetical chapter (in parenthesis) because it is inserted between the 6th and 7th seals. It is for our understanding of those to be sealed.

Ch. 7

7:1 the angels were standing on the 4 points of the earth (north, east, west, and south).  The 4 winds are standing by to bring the end; but first many need to be sealed.

7:2 east G 395; a rising of light. The angel was coming from the rising of the sun. Seal of God: the Truth we have in our minds to know the True from the fake. The angel was coming to stop the other angels for a moment.

7:3 foreheads: the brain is in the forehead. This is the seal of God! The end was to be stopped until all that were to be saved, taught the word of God (Truth). This is the mark we are to take, not the mark the false one brings (compare: Revelation 13:16-17, 14:9, 14:11, 15:2, 16:2, 19:20, 20:4).  The mark is not a tattoo or microchip, rather what is in your brain that makes you worship the True God or Satan.

7:4 there is a lot of confusion about what this verse means and if only 144 thousand people are going to heaven. What is the subject here? The subject is not going to heaven.  It is teaching/training and putting the seal (truth) in their minds.

7:5-8 Aser: Asher in the Hebrew. Dan and Ephraim were left, while Joseph and Levi take their places. Idolatry is to blame for Dan and Ephraim being left out (compare: Lev 24:10-16, Deut 29:18-21, Judg 18:2-31, 1 Kings 12:26-33, Hos 4:17). You will find in Ezekiel 48 that they are brought back to right standing during the millennium.

7:9 if you want to know how many people are in heaven here it is, a great multitude, not just 144 thousand. Praise God, we will have many with us there. Many people have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb since His crucifixion!

7:10 Giving Praise to the One worthy of all Praise! Remember the dead are not sitting in a hole in the ground; to be absent form this body is to be with God (instantly).

7:11-12 here are the 7 spirits of God (compare: Rev 5:12, where they are attributed to The Lord). How happy these are that served God during this time of deception and strayed not after the false! We will not be ashamed, wishing for the rocks to fall on us.

7:13-14 this happened after the crucifixion/resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. These people had to take action themselves in order to wash their robes in the blood of the Lamb. The good works you do is your white raiment. Once you have the mark (sealed) of God in your forehead, there is no way you will follow after the false!

7:15 not in a hole in the ground but before the throne of God. He shall dwell among us, Praise God.

7:16 these are in a different dimension and the things of the flesh no longer have dominion over us.

7:17 there will be nothing that offends in heaven anymore. All evil will be burned away and Christ will be our Shepherd and caretaker. This is after the judgment of God and all evil is done away with. We must have the seal of God in our foreheads, to overcome the deception.
